Teabag Jiggler

The idea of the tea bag jiggler came to me one night when a friend was making me a cup of tea [earl grey] for the first time. I looked at the way she was jiggling the tea bag and thought the process could be automated, thus starting an obsession. I increased the absurdity of the endeavour by not stopping at just one version, instead making several variations. A theme which has carried through to my current work. I have also built two all-terrain bubble blowing vehicle and I’m now planning a third.

II - The second in the teabag jiggler series, it is now part of the
Pat Corrigan Collection.
III - The metro range of tea bag jigglers was the third instalment in the teabag jiggler series.
IX - Teabag Jiggler IX made in 2007.
X - The concept of Teabag Jigglers (TBJs) has seen numerous
revisions over time, each one aimed at enhancing the
experience and convenience of tea brewing.
The TBJ No XI
represents another groundbreaking development in this
domain. This innovative device stands out from its
predecessors with its dual-teabag jiggling capability, a first in
the industry. This feature enables users to infuse two teabags
simultaneously, significantly enhancing brewing efficiency,
especially for those who favor stronger or multi-flavor teas.
But the enhancements don't stop there. The TBJ No XI also incorporates an ingenious
auditory indicator - a bell that rings after every tenth jiggle.
This innovative feature
serves as a useful brewing guide, allowing users to precisely control the strength of their
brew based on the number of jiggles. With every ring of the bell, tea drinkers can
determine whether to continue brewing for a stronger flavor or to stop for a milder
infusion. Hence, the TBJ No XI adds a layer of precision to the tea-making process,
making it a revolutionary product in the teabag industry.
