At its heart, multiple laser sensors detect human presence, allowing visitors to alter both the height and chromatic display of individual lamps through gesture. Each lifting mechanism features a customdesigned servo actuator, deliberately exposed to celebrate its mechanical beauty - a hallmark of steampunk design. As Rebecca Ward notes, "Now that we have formally met, I can say this is a curious but polite machine that interacts well with humans."

Crafted entirely in Anderson's solar-powered studio, this industrial ballet of copper, bronze, and steel exemplifies his mastery of combining traditional metalworking with contemporary technology. The sculpture's programming can create specific moods and interaction patterns, making it both a sophisticated lighting installation and an evolving interactive experience.
