A portable cousin of the Redcliffe apparatus. The Remote Effluxion Cloning Apparatus locks onto a sea creature's life force and projects a perfect image of it back to the machine.

Some say the two machines work together, or that RECA was built as a field version for expeditions. The original RECA was shown in New York.
