Teabag Jiggler

Apparatus · Festival & Studio · Private collections

The idea came one night as a friend made me a cup of Earl Grey. Watching her jiggle the teabag, I thought the process could be automated, and an obsession began. I raised the absurdity by not stopping at one, and that habit of making variations has carried through all my work since.

Teabag Jiggler II is in the Pat Corrigan Collection. III was the metro range. No. XI jiggles two teabags at once, an industry first, and rings a bell every tenth jiggle so you can judge the strength of your brew.

Maryborough bought Teabag Jigglers for its Mary Poppins building.
